Manifesto Of H.O.O.R.

The Holy Order Of RaHoorKhuit or H.O.O.R. is currently represented by Frater 939.'. as the Overseer and whose immediate delegates in the profane world are certain Generals and Masters of Lodge. These delegates can exhibit, to sustain their legitimacy, Contract Letters-Patent, when requested to do so.

The Purpose of H.O.O.R.

The purpose of H.O.O.R. can best be described by the term Social Evolution. Social structure in today's world has degenerated into automatic reaction. Currently 'civilization' means conformity to a patchwork of ill fitting behavioral models inherited from former times. Past models of Human behavior, interwoven with 'moral' codes that no longer fit modern situations, dominate the so-called civilized world. H.O.O.R. members are interested in insuring that society evolves. H.O.O.R. members are interested in insuring that the fundamental rights of Humankind are in place throughout the world. In this respect H.O.O.R. members can be considered intelligently selfish. These basic rights are succinctly enumerated in a short work titled Liber OZ. This little composition is based on the Law of the New Aeon as announced in Liber AL vel Legis, The Book of The Law, being that pronouncement dictated to one Edward Alexander Crowley on April 8, 9 & 10th 1904 e.v. in Cairo Egypt.

Individual freedom is our watch word. The term "individual freedom' may simply, to some, a system so vast and with so many variations of rule as to make it impossible to realize. Individual freedom, in fact, requires but a few actual rules; these rules are succinctly enumerated in Liber OZ and revealed completely in Liber AL vel Legis. The Book of The Law states that "Every man and every woman is a star": Thus does it announce the new Era of Theurgy and also a new Era of responsibility. Not only are we, one and all, sovereign and unique but we are all, every one, responsible for every action we make.

H.O.O.R. accepts men and women of all religious, political, social or philosophical persuasions so long as these persons swear on their honor as members of the species to seek to reformulate their creeds, dogmas or structures so that these will then be harmonious with the principles of Liber AL.

Structure of H.O.O.R.

H.O.O.R. is organized in Lodges to which men and women of all races, and social levels may belong. Any human being who so desires can undergo the 1st Grade Ritual of H.O.O.R. any who can pass through the initiatic ordeals has a right to the 2nd Grade of H.O.O.R. The principle aim of those Lodges is to stimulate the society in which they exist so that it will establish and maintain the principles of Liber AL culturally, socially and politically. Further, the Lodge promotes Brotherly and Sisterly fellowship, support and assistance among its members in accordance with the Constitution of the Order.\

It is said that "mystery is the enemy of truth" and so Lodges of H.O.O.R. involve themselves in programs to educate and to inform the society in which it exists. These projects and programs vary according to the resources of the Lodge, the skill and the expertise of the Lodge's members and the needs of the community which it serves.

The Synopsis of H.O.O.R. describes the Grade work of the Order in as explicit a terms as can be given outside the pale of the Order. This Synopsis can be obtained at the beginning of this pamphlet.

As every Earth plane organization must have capital to feed its projects, H.O.O.R. Lodge members pay dues. These dues are based on several models decided upon, with the approval of the Overseer, at the Lodge level (Consult the Lodge Master introducing for the dues structure of that Lodge.) There are also small initiation fees for various Grades; these are meant to help allay the costs of materials and requisite items in each initiation.

Further, members are expected to contribute to the smooth working of the lodge by their gifts or their toil. Advancement does not depend on the size of ones contributions but, rather, on the evidence of one's moral and intellectual dedication to the Order. The key concept here is Service.
